Linwood Elementary School, Oklahoma City Public Schools (2010–2011). Grants totalling $36,000 established a state-of-the-art mathematics & science laboratory for Grades 4–6. Through hands-on learning, students developed teamwork, collaboration, curiosity, & confidence while improving academic performance through mathematics, science, & the scientific language.
Tavan Elementary School, Scottsdale Unified School District (2012). Surplus math & science laboratory equipment from Oklahoma was repurposed for Arizona classrooms. Through hands-on learning, students explored mathematics, physics, teamwork, & scientific discovery while extending their learning through ongoing classroom experiments, including growing & decorating Mother's Day potted plants.
Lehi Elementary School, Mesa Public Schools (2013–2015). Equipment from Oklahoma found a new home in Arizona classrooms. A teacher remained with the students from Grades 4–6, creating a continuous three-year learning environment centred on math, science, & the arts. Through hands-on investigation, & discovery, students built confidence, curiosity, & learned the scientific language.

Mendoza Elementary School, Mesa Public Schools (ongoing). Hands-on learning fused engineering, math, science, & innovation. Grant-funded erasable desktops transformed everyday teaching by allowing immediate feedback, early identification of learning gaps, & praise moments. Classroom pool tables turned concepts such as vectors, acceleration, & collision impact into real learning experiences.
United Food Bank, Mesa, Arizona (2025). Cup of Joey's annual community food drive collected 968 pounds of food, providing an estimated 806 meals for Arizona families. This letter of appreciation from United Food Bank recognises the generosity of the Cup of Joey community & the meaningful difference their support made to neighbours across Arizona during the holiday season.
Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation & Honeywell Futureshaper STEM Grant (2025). Mendoza Elementary teacher submitted grant application was awarded a $5,000 STEM grant . Bonzer Foundation volunteered grant-writing support, & with the grant provider's approval, the project was later adapted into a hovercraft engineering program to better support the school's STEM objectives. The Hovercraft Project brought together students, teachers, & Mesa Public Schools' Operations Division, who built their first-ever educational hovercraft for the project. A $5,000 STEM grant created far more than classroom resources—it sparked innovation, collaboration, & a shared learning experience across the District.
